Microsoft's Windows Phone 'Tango' update has been revealed via leaked screenshots.

The images, which surfaced on Russian website wp7forum, suggest that the operating system will be aimed at low-end smartphones.

Windows Phones running the OS will be able to share video and audio content via MMS attachments. A pre-loaded voice recording app will also be included.

Tango will enable users to transfer data between SIM card and handset, and is rumoured to include more data roaming options.

Nokia's Lumia 610 budget smartphone is expected to be unveiled at the Mobile World Congress later this month, which gives rise to rumours that it will be the launch vehicle for Tango.

Microsoft is yet to officially unveil its Windows Phone 'Tango' OS.
