Apple unveiled the next generation of the iPad earlier today at the Yerba Buena Centre for the Arts in San Francisco.
The new iPad features a new high-resolution screen, 4G connectivity, a faster processor and an improved camera.
The 9.7-inch screen also features a high-definition 'Retina Display' at a pixel resolution of 2048 x 1536, while many apps and programmes are being updated to move with the improved graphics.
Pre-orders will begin today, and will go on sale in the UK, US, Canada, Germany, France, Switzerland, Hong Kong, Singapore, Australia and Japan on Friday, March 16.
