Rapture files complaint over Sky fees
Published Monday, Sep 18 2006, 15:45 BST | By Neil Wilkes
Youth channel Rapture TV has filed a formal complaint with Ofcom over the amount Sky charges to join the EPG lineup.
According to communications regulation, Sky must offer access to its EPG service on a "fair, reasonable and non-discriminatory" basis.
The station claims to have evidence that Sky used to charge "much lower fees for the same service" and that the current fees are "excessively high".
David Henry, MD of Rapture TV, told DS: "Rapture TV hopes that a full investigation by regulator Ofcom will lead to a industry wide agreement on what level of fee is 'air, reasonable and non-discriminatory."
