The city of Jundiai renamed one of its roads as Steve Jobs Avenue in tribute to the late Apple co-founder, reports Forbes.
Jundiai's city council proposed the bill in October last year, shortly after Jobs's death. It received final approval on March 27.
Apple's primary manufacturer Foxconn recently received a batch of tax and other financial incentives from the Brazilian government to expand its operations in the South American country. Steve Jobs Avenue has been earmarked as a potential site for a new factory.
Foxconn has already opened an iPad manufacturing plant in Brazil's largest city of Sao Paulo, which is linked to Jundiai via Steve Jobs Avenue. Reports suggest that several more factories are likely to spring up in the territory in the near future.
Jobs, a movie biopic based on the technology pioneer's life, is currently in the works with Ashton Kutcher in the lead role.
