The BlackBerry Curve 9320 entry-level smartphone has been confirmed for release in the UK.

The BlackBerry Curve 9320 is geared towards the youth market, serving as a budget alternative to the Curve 9360. The device will run the BlackBerry 7.1 operating system, feature BBM messaging support and carry a 3.2-megapixel rear-mounted camera with 4x digital zoom.

Carlo Chiarello, RIM executive vice president, said: "The new BlackBerry Curve 9320 is designed to make it incredibly easy for users to stay socially connected.

"The new BlackBerry Curve 9320 will be especially popular with customers upgrading to a smartphone for the first time and existing Curve customers looking for a step up in speed and functionality."

RIM is yet to officially confirm a release date for the BlackBerry Curve 9320, though T-Mobile listed it as coming "soon" with a £149.99 PAYG price tag. The network will also offer the device on a £15.50 per month, 24-month contract.
