The Apple executive has pledged his support to the Electronic Frontier Foundation (EFF), the organisation campaigning to return Megaupload's stored data to its users.
DotCom wrote on Twitter: "MegaWoz. Great guy and supporter of EFF. EFF is helping to give Mega users their files back. Thanks Woz and EFF."
Megaupload users were suspended from accessing their data after the website was shut down by the US authorities in January. Seven men, including DotCom, have been charged with copyright infringement and racketeering.
The prosecution is currently fighting to have DotCom extradited to North America to stand trial. A hearing will be held in August to decide on the matter.
Last month, a New Zealand judge allowed DotCom to return to his mansion, ruling that he no longer poses a flight risk ahead of the August hearing.
