The EX2F, the latest model in Samsung's new WiFi-enabled Smart camera range, is claimed to offer the "brightest" photography of any compact camera thanks to its F1.4 lens.
Images can be stored or shared instantly using the EX2F's built-in WiFi functionality.
Samsung said that the camera is "ideal for DSLR-owners looking for more portable equipment to capture images spontaneously on the go", or for photographers "looking for a step-up from their point-and-shoot".
The EX2F combines a number of features that are designed to deliver "incredible picture quality in all conditions".
Alongside the advanced F1.4 24mm Lens, the camera comes with a professional front wheel key and dual dials for switching between parameters and modes in manual control.
Low-light capabilities of the EX2F are enhanced by the 1/1.7-inch 12-Megapixel BSI CMOS sensor, which is said to deliver clear, blur-free images.
Alongside still images, the camera can capture 1080 Full HD Movie Recording with stereo sound.
Images and videos can be previewed on the 3-inch Swivel AMOLED display, while the built-in WiFi means that they can be stored in the cloud, or posted directly to social networks, such as Facebook and Picasa.
The EX2F's Mobile Link enables connectivity with smartphones, and the Remote Viewfinder feature enables smartphone screens to be used to frame shots from different angles.
Samsung Electronics UK and Ireland head of digital imaging Nick White said: "The EX2 is the perfect camera for both those that are used to a DSLR and the photographers that are looking for better image quality and control than a standard point and shoot. The added benefits of WiFi and a sleek design make this camera one of our most innovative yet."
Pricing and availability of the EX2F has not yet been announced.
