"Top Up TV is pleased to confirm that Top Up TV Anytime DTRs will start being dispatched to customers week commencing 4th December," the company said in a statement this afternoon. "The orders will be fulfilled according to the date that the order was received; customers who were first to place their orders will receive letters in the next 48 hours confirming all payment details. We expect that all orders received to date will be fulfilled before Christmas. We would like to thank Digital Spy forum members for their patience and welcome their feedback on the product when they receive it."
In a special report on the Anytime DTR earlier this month, Top Up TV sales and marketing director Matt Seaman said that the much-anticipated box was designed to be a "best of breed" Freeview digital video recorder as well as the heart of the pay TV provider's new cache-based television service.
The programme cache stored on Anytime boxes, made available through a £9.99 per month subscription, contains approximately 100 hours of content from 19 channels including UKTV Gold, MTV and Paramount Comedy.
