The cable operator launched its new Collections packages earlier in the year, bringing the TiVo converged TV set top box into its core product bundles. The launch was backed by an advertising campaign featuring actor David Tennant.
Joining Virgin Media's Essential, Premiere and VIP Collections, the Classic Collection is aimed at providing cutting-edge services on a budget.
The service includes a TiVo box featuring an advanced electronic programme guide and range of on-demand entertainment, including the catch-up services of the BBC, ITV, Channel 4 and Channel 5, along with various apps and games. Users also get Virgin's basic HD channels.
"The success of our Collections to date is testament to the growing mainstream demand for superfast broadband and next generation connected television," said Andrew Barron, chief operating officer at Virgin Media.
"Our customers tell us they love being able to enjoy their favourite TV shows at a time that suits them and that they're discovering new family favourites thanks to TiVo. In introducing the Classic Collection, we continue to make such leading services the standard with Virgin Media."
The Classic Collection is available as standard on a 12-month contract, or offered with six months half price on the 18-month contract.
