Interactive TV software provider Ensequence, has developed a series of new interactive features for kids channel Jetix UK and UKTV Drama.
On UKTV Drama, a new interactive feature called The Story So Far, will update viewers as to what is happening in their favourite programme, no matter when they start watching.
Viewers will see a text synopsis of the current programme's content, and also be able to use a "Who's who?" function that reminds viewers who the key characters are and who plays them.
The channel will broadcast up to 100 versions of the The Story So Far application this year, starting with the channel's popular Crime@Nine slot.
Richard Kingsbury, UKTV Drama's channel head, said: "We are always looking for interactivity that has a very clear and simple benefit for the viewer, and this is a great example."
Sky viewers in the UK can also now play Galactik Football, Oban Star Racers and Power Rangers using their red button, when watching kids entertainment channel Jetix UK.
Dalen Harrison, Ensequence chief executive, said: "We are thrilled to be working with Jetix to bring these exciting new interactive games to Sky audiences. Interactive games provide Jetix with a fantastic opportunity to leverage its valuable and highly popular content while keeping viewers engaged."
Ensequence already provides software for interactive TV services to the BBC, Disney, MTV Sky Sports, and UKTV G2.
