Apple's Steve Jobs wax figure unveiled by Madame Tussauds

By
Steve Jobs is to receive a wax figure at Madame Tussauds in Hong Kong to mark the first anniversary of his death.

The late Apple co-founder will be depicted with a laid back demeanour, wearing his trademark black turtle neck, Levi 501 jeans and New Balance trainers.

Madame Tussauds sculptors based the design on photographs taken during Jobs's Fortune Magazine cover shoot in 2006. A pair of Lunor spectacles has also been replicated for the model.

The figure was created at a cost of HK$1,500,000 (£120,000), with a dedicated team spending three months capturing the likeness.

Earlier this year, the Brazilian city of Jundiai renamed one of its roads as Steve Jobs Avenue in tribute to the tech mastermind.

The Steve Jobs sculpture will be on display at Madame Tussauds Hong Kong between September 27 and November 26, before travelling on to Madame Tussauds Bangkok and then Madame Tussauds Shanghai.
