Eurosport expands in Ireland

UPC Ireland, the parent company of NTL Ireland and Chorus is to add Eurosport to NTL Ireland's digital lineup this weekend.
The pan-European channel is already broadcasting on Chorus and today’s announcement has extended the reach of British Eurosport to more homes in Ireland.
Simon Kelehan, video product and content manager of UPC Ireland said: "We’re delighted to offer viewers more top sports action including top cycling, motorsports, tennis and winter sports. NTL’s basic digital TV offering now includes British Eurosport, Setanta Sports Ireland, Extreme Sports, Sky Sports News – making it the best sports basic package available."
Earlier this week, the channel announced a new magazine weekend show, Eurosport Buzz, which brings together A-list celebrities from the worlds of sport, music and film. US rapper producer and actor, Snoop Dogg, is to feature on the first programme which airs the weekend of February 17.
Other guests lined up include Dolph Lundgren, Ivan Drago of Rocky IV, Tony Parker, Tia Carrere, Rob Dyrdek and Cypress Hill.
