Virgin Media has recorded a message for customers calling the cable operator about the withdrawal of Sky's basic channels from Virgin TV at the end of February.

The message informs customers that Virgin Media was "willing to pay an increase" to secure Sky's basic channels but added that the company had "refused to accept" Sky's "unfair" rate demands.
