Executive vice president Jeff Kupsky has been promoted to president of Turner Broadcasting System Europe.
Kupsky assumes executive oversight of all television and multi-platform activities of Turner’s networks in EMEA, which include Cartoon Network, Boomerang and TCM (Turner Classic Movies), as well as all commercial activities for CNN International.
Based at Turner Europe's London headquarters, he will oversee business development, marketing, distribution and public relations, as well as the entertainment channels’ advertising sales, research, operations and programming.
Louise Sams, president of Turner Broadcasting System International and executive vice president and general counsel of Turner Broadcasting System, said: “Jeff’s promotion acknowledges the strategic and operational leadership he has provided to the Europe team over the past several years. He is known throughout the EMEA marketplace as an innovative, experienced and effective business person, and regarded within the organisation as a knowledgeable, consistently outstanding executive."
Kupsky, who joined the company in 1981, succeeds Nan Richards, who recently announced her decision to leave after 19 years with the company.
