The number of customers taking Virgin's high definition, triple-tuner V+ personal video recorder has doubled during the fourth quarter of 2006.
At the end of the year's third quarter, 40,000 customers had taken the V+ (then named TV Drive) service. Today, the company said that it has 79,000 V+ subscribers.
"We believe this is the best on the market with 80 hours recording time, three tuners and full VOD capability," Virgin said today. "We have over 150 hours of HD content and will be expanding this range."
