Tiscali TV replaces Homechoice
Published Thursday, Mar 1 2007, 11:43 GMT | By James Welsh
Homechoice has rebranded to Tiscali TV today ahead of a national rollout of the ISP's IPTV service.
Over 40,000 Homechoice customers are now Tiscali TV customers and have access to the company's broadband-plus-TV bundle priced at £14.99 per month.
"Tiscali TV will give our subscribers real value for money, choice and flexibility – things that are core to our brand values," said Tiscali UK CEO Mary Turner. "We believe there is a real gap in the market for our TV product. The success of Freeview has shown that customers want more than five channels but don’t necessarily want to pay a high monthly subscription. Our TV service gives customers broadband plus the channel choice they want and free on-demand programming, all for the price you would pay for a standard broadband connection."
For launch day, Tiscali has added some new content to the service. Film4 On Demand and 4OD are now available on Tiscali's video on demand service and original content has been added to pre-school channel Scamp. Playboy TV, The Adult Channel, Spice Extreme and trade.tv have also been added to Tiscali's lineup of on demand content.
