Apple unveiled the fourth generation iPad on Tuesday, October 23 alongside the new iPad mini. Both models will be available from tomorrow (Friday, October 26), only seven months after the release of the third generation iPad.

A total of 11% of respondents said that they would "definitely" buy an iPad mini, with a further 33% saying they would "probably" get one of the smaller model tablets.

Asked what they would prefer out of different tablet models, 43% said that they would prefer the Kindle Fire, compared to 39% opting for the iPad mini and 18% for the Nexus 7 Tablet.

Apple has defended the pricing of the iPad mini, which at £269 greatly exceeds the cost of its rivals.
