9to5Mac claims that users will be able to purchase cinema tickets using the personal assistant via a service powered by Fandango.
The feature, which will allow iPhone, iPad and iPod Touch users to making bookings by telling Siri which film they wish to see, is currently undergoing beta testing.
Users will still have to manually complete the transaction within the Fandango app, but the movie, number of tickets and relevant cinema will be automatically selected.
Apple last week released the incremental iOS 6.0.1 update to improve WiFi connectivity and correct a number of bugs.
The movie tickets feature will debut in the US, but is expected to make it to other territories at a later date.
