HP Connected Music teams up with Universal

HP has teamed up with the Universal Music Group to launch a new partnership in EMEA territories.

The technology company will include its HP Connected Music service on all of its new Windows 8 consumer desktop and notebook PCs across Europe, the Middle East and Africa.

The new deal means HP customers will have exclusive content and access to Universal Music's catalogue of artists, which includes the likes of Lady GaGa, Jessie J, Justin Bieber and Florence + the Machine.

Users can access HP Music Rewards Packages through the HP Connected Music software embedded on all of its new PCs and laptops from yesterday (November 6).

HP Private Events allows access to exclusive showcases and performances from Universal artists, while customers will also have the chance to win Music Experiences - such as meet and greets and studio visits - with popular artists.

Customers with new HP consumer PCs featuring Windows 8 will also have access to an exclusive list of services through HP Connected Music including streaming with free access to Universal Music's full catalogue for 90 days.

Customers with new Windows 8 HP Spectre and HP Envy PCs will also receive 10 free MP3 downloads per month for 90 days.

HP Connected Music launched in the EMEA yesterday (November 6) with an exclusive gig from No Doubt in Paris, France.
