The Survival Senbei iPhone 5 case is made from toasted brown rice and salt, which could provide nutrition for the user in the event of a natural disaster, RocketNews reports.

The case's designer, a woman by the name of Mariko, fully admits that the case is extremely fragile. She hosts a disclaimer on her website advising users that there is an 89% chance it will break when they put their phone in their pocket.
There is also a 76% chance it will crumble when customers affix it to their phone, and a "120% chance" it will break into pieces if the device is dropped.
Only three Senbei cases are produced each day, and they can take up to a month to arrive once ordered. Mariko sells them for ¥3,818 (£30) each.
Apple's iPhone line is extremely popular in Japan, accounting for 34% of the market in the territory, according to stats from market analyst comScore.
