The LG-built device was launched as an O2 exclusive, but could be purchased SIM-free from the Google Play Store.

Three is offering the handset at £35 per month with an upfront charge of £29 as part of its One Plan. Customers receive unlimited data, 2,000 any-network minutes, 5,000 network minutes and 5,000 texts free, but must commit to a two-year deal.

The phone will also be available to purchase from Three stores on pay-as-you-go for £399.99.

Google's Nexus 4, featuring a 1.5 GHz quad-core Snapdragon S4 Pro processor and 2GB of RAM, has proven popular since launching in the UK earlier this month, selling out its initial stock within one hour.

It was released alongside the Nexus 10 tablet and new 32GB models of the Nexus 7 on November 13.
