Android 4.1 update comes to HTC One X devices

By
HTC's One X devices around the world have received the Android 4.1 Jelly Bean update.

Users in Singapore and the firm's native Taiwan were the first to have their operating system upgraded, and now handsets in the UK, Russia, India and South America have followed suit.

The update was issued over-the-air automatically, but device owners can check for it manually by accessing the 'software updates' option within the 'settings' menu.

Jelly Bean, released along with the Google Nexus 7 tablet over the summer, offers smoother navigation, improved voice support and the Google Now personal assistant.

A refreshed version of the operating system - dubbed Android 4.2 - launched with Google's latest batch of Nexus devices earlier this month.

HTC previously confirmed that its One S handset will also receive the Android 4.1 update.
