Following 2011's singular G2 Google TV, the GA6400 will range from 42-inch to 62-inch, while the high-end GA7900 will be available in 47-inch and 55-inch models.

The GA7900 features a 240Hz refresh rate and comes with an edge-lit LED and local dimming. LG's less costly GA6400 will also include an edge-lit LED and a lower 120Hz refresh rate.

A modified version of Google's Android 3.0 Honeycomb operating system will power the sets, enabling users to control them using tablet and smartphone applications.

"LG is committed to providing diverse home entertainment options that offer the most satisfying user experience, and the latest LG Smart TVs with Google TV do just that," said LG president and CEO Havis Kwon.

"They deliver a stellar user experience by merging the latest Google TV platform with LG's proven Smart TV technology. The result is a comprehensive system that is groundbreaking in its simplicity."

Pricing and availability for the GA6400 and GA7900 are expected to be announced at CES 2013 next month.
