iPotty toilet-training gadget unveiled at CES 2013

CTA Digital has unveiled the iPotty, an accessory for the Apple iPad that is designed to help toilet train infants.

Showcased at CES 2013 in Las Vegas, the gadget is essentially a potty with a purpose-built stand for the tablet to sit on while the child answers their call of nature.

The designers are hoping that the option to watch videos and play games while using the iPotty will help encourage youngsters to use it when going through the toilet-training phase.

"It's novel to a lot of people, but we've gotten great feedback from parents who think it'd be great for training," said CTA product specialist Camilo Gallardo.

The iPotty includes a built-in splash guard to protect the iPad and can double as a standard chair thanks to a detachable seat cover.

CTA Digital has confirmed that the product could be modified to support other tablets in the future should the iPad version prove popular.
