There will be two types of account available - a free basic subscription offering 2GB of free storage space and a 'special' account for Nikon camera owners.

Users eligible for the latter will receive 20GB of free storage space and granted the option to password protect images or prevent them from being downloaded altogether.

Improved Facebook and Twitter integration will be included in the new service as will stability and performance enhancements.

My Picturetown users will not be able to access their accounts from 10pm on January 27 when the service changes over, but their existing photos will be transferred over to the new platform when it goes live the following morning.
