Derby County's new radio station, "Rampage", is preparing for its launch on Janury 12th.
Rampage will be available to Sky Digital subscribers in the Midlands on EPG 906, but can also be added manually via Add Channels (Services-4-4) on Tp 12.324V (SR 27.5, FEC 2/3).
Keith Loring, Chief Executive of Derby County Football Club, said: “The agreement between BSkyB and Radio First will provide brilliant initial carriage for Derby County’s digital radio station. Rams fans in the East Midlands will be able to keep in touch with what’s happening at the club at any time of the day or night and that’s an innovation which I welcome.???
Rory McLeod of Radio First commented: “Rampage is going to be a big success because it’s a great format, backed by the resources of a modern, far-thinking football club with a great brand and a great following. We can’t wait to get the station launched.???
Dave Bracegirdle is to be sports editor and match commentator at Rampage, joined in the box by legendary Rams striker Roger Davies. The Drivetime show will be presented by Darren Fernando, who has previously worked as a breakfast show presenter for a Luxembourg station.
McLeod added: “We are confident that Rampage will follow in the successful footsteps of Big Blue, The Saint and The Villan. Rampage is backed by the resources of a modern, forward-thinking football club with a great brand and passionate followers. We are sure the station will be as successful and popular as its predecessors.???
