As part of an ongoing partnership between LoveFilm and BBC Worldwide, the Amazon-owned company will get a range of additional BBC content for streaming service LoveFilm Instant.
Also today, LoveFilm has said that its high definition service will be introduced to Sony TVs and Blu-ray players.
The "new-for-2013" BBC content includes a range of hit shows such as Idris Elba-starring Luther, Ricky Gervais comedies The Office and Extras, sci-fi series Primeval, crime-drama Jonathan Creek, and newer episodes of Top Gear.
LoveFilm already offers a range of classic BBC TV series, including Doctor Who, Ashes to Ashes, Spooks, Whitechapel, and Planet Earth.
"We kicked off 2012 by announcing a new deal with BBC Worldwide and it is great to see in 2013 by adding to that agreement," said Jim Buckle, the managing director at LoveFilm.
"We've got some of the best British TV content ever made, and we're first choice for TV fans who want good quality shows, instantly."
BBC Worldwide head of pan-European television sales Lisa Rousseau added: "Our content partnership with LoveFilm continues to evolve year on year.
"This new deal will see more gripping award-winning dramas and landmark documentaries added to the service bringing some of the very best in UK television to LoveFilm's subscribers."
LoveFilm has also today announced the launch of its high definition streaming service on all HD-ready internet-connected Sony Bravia TVs and Blu-Ray players in both the UK and Germany.
Subscribers to LoveFilm with an enabled Sony Home Entertainment device will be able to stream TV shows and films in HD video at no extra cost, although at 720p rather than full HD 1080p.
