BlackBerry, the firm formerly known as Research in Motion, previously revealed that the physical-keyboard touting phone will launch in some territories around April.
"We are working closely with our carrier partners to accelerate their testing process. We expect the first global carriers to launch the BlackBerry Q10 in April," said CEO Thorsten Heins.
However, Wired has learned that British carriers are yet to begin testing the device and claims to have been told by sources at one network that "a release in the third quarter of 2013" is likely.
The BlackBerry Q10 was unveiled alongside the BlackBerry Z10 smartphone when the platform holder lifted the lid on its new BlackBerry 10 operating system last month.
