Asus refreshes Transformer Pad Infinity

Asus has refreshed its Transformer Pad Infinity device, introducing an enhanced display and chipset.

The Android tablet now boasts a screen with a resolution of 2560 x 1600, a 299ppi density and 10-point multi-touch support, superior to Apple's latest iPad.

Asus has also introduced a 1.9GHz quad-core Tegra 4 processor, 2GB of RAM, and 4K video playback via HDMI to the 10-inch slate.

The latest model has a 5-megapixel camera on the rear, a 1.2-megapixel shooter on the front, and 32GB of internal memory on board.

Other hardware features include support for microSD, USB 3.0 and Bluetooth 3.0.

Asus is yet to announce a release date for the new Transformer Pad Infinity, but it is expected to arrive later this year bearing a price tag of around £260.
