HTC One Mini pictures, specifications leaked

Pictures and specifications of the rumoured HTC One Mini have appeared online, showing a device with a very similar design to that of HTC's current flagship smartphone the One.

The phone runs a dual-core Qualcomm Snapdragon S4 processor clocked in at 1.4 GHz, uses 1GB of RAM and the latest version of HTC Sense. Android 4.2.2 Jelly Bean is also included, as is a 720p screen.

HTC's current range of smartphones all use a similar approach to design, with the One Mini appearing to be no exception. That means a machined aluminium shell and clever micro-drilled holes on the front that hide the handset's speakers.

The device leak appeared on technology blog Android Next and features pictures of the handset itself, as well as device specifications.

Built-in storage comes in the form of 16GB of space, with Android leaving 11GB of real-world space to use, expandable via the phone's microSD slot. The One Mini's cameras consist of a 4.1-megapixel unit on the back and a 1.6-megapixel front facing camera for video calls.

The HTC One Mini is rumoured to be due for release in August, complete with a lower price tag and what looks to be the same choice of colours as the more expensive HTC One, meaning both silver and black variants should go on sale.
