IFA 2013: Sony announces Bravia W85 HD TV

Sony has announced the Bravia W85 HD TV at the IFA trade show.

The high-end set features a resolution of 1920 x 1080 pixels, and comes with a triluminous display panel, the latest Bravia engine and mobile high-definition link support.

Sony's X-Reality PRO is also included, optimising imagery for detail, colour and contrast, whether the viewer is watching television, a Blu-ray disc or an internet video stream.

Other features include Motionflow XR 400 Hz, Active 3D, S-Force Surround Sound, One-touch mirroring, built-in WiFi, four HDMI ports, and three USB slots.

A free companion app for iOS, Android and Windows 8 devices called TV SideView serves as a second-screen service for the set.

Sony's Bravia W85 will be released in October, priced at £2,999.
