The phone runs Google's Android 4.2 Jelly Bean and comes with a raft of Samsung's exclusive software pre-installed, including S Translator, S Travel, Smart Stay and S Voice.

The device will replace the existing Galaxy Ace 2, offering a speedier processor and RAM upgrade but retaining the same camera capabilities.

"Our latest addition to the Galaxy portfolio, the Galaxy Ace 3 is packed with loads of features designed to provide a smoother and more intuitive user experience," said Samsung UK chief Simon Stanford.

"Following the success of the Galaxy Ace 2, we are confident that our customers will enjoy this new device when it hits the shelves this month."

The Galaxy Ace 3 will be available in the UK from EE stores, as well as selected retailers including Carphone Warehouse and Tesco.
