Samsung is apparently working on a successor to its Galaxy Mega phablet with an even larger display.

Mobile Geeks has unearthed a certification listing filed by the Korean firm for a handset with mid-range specs and a whopping 7-inch display.

The device is said to feature a 720p display, a 1.2GHz quad-core processor backed up by 1.5GB of RAM, and 8GB of internal storage.

Other features include micro SD support, an 8-megapixel camera on the rear and a 2-megapixel snapper on the front.

The original Galaxy Mega was released last year in two size variants, one with a 5.8-inch display and the other measuring in at 6.3 inches.

Samsung is also working a new version of its flagship phablet, the Galaxy Note 4.
