New services, channels launch on DSat

A host of new channels and services have launched for digital satellite viewers today.

Two new children's channels from the BBC, CBBC and CBeebies launched on EPG numbers 621 and 622 respectively. Both feature interactive elements; more details of which can be found here.

The Fox News Channel was finally added to EPG channel 531, after months of on-and-off availability through 'Add Channels'.

MTV Hits Interactive, exclusively previewed on Digital Spy last week, launched as expected on channel 441. The service can be accessed by pressing the red button on the remote handset.

The Sky News Active revamp, which will see the number of video feeds doubled from four to eight, will go live shortly following extensive testing over the past few weeks.

New timeshift channel UK Style Plus has been added to EPG 149, shunting UK Food to 150. The station will broadcast daily between 8am and 6pm (UK Style's 7am - 5pm output).

Meanwhile, two new PPV channels have been added to the Sky Box Office Lineup. 18 Plus Movies now has two extra screens on EPG channels 763 and 764, broadcasting from 10pm until late daily.
