Report: 33 million clueless about switchover

An estimated 33 million people are still unsure when the analogue signal will be switched off in their region, according to a new report.
The research for uSwitch.com shows a decrease from the estimated 38 million clueless viewers since the last survey was undertaken in January.
The most-aware region was Border, with 63%, although it will be the first to make the transition on October 17 this year.
Viewers in the Midlands demonstrated the least amount of knowledge about switchover: just 7% of respondents correctly named the date.
"It is worrying to see that consumers are still baffled as to when it will happen and how they should prepare for it," said uSwitch head of communication services Steve Weller. "It's also disappointing that despite campaigns to educate the nation about switchover, over half the population do not feel that enough is being done to keep them informed."
