Rapture to return June 14

Rapture TV will make a return for Sky Digital viewers on June 14, according to this week's Broadcast.
The UBM-owned station closed at the end of last year, but will now be brought back from the dead following a deal which saw independent production company Power TV buy the name, trademark, websites and programme library.
David Henry, Power MD, said that the channel would make a soft launch via Sky Digital on June 14, gearing up to a full launch some time in November. Rapture will still rely on clubbing programming heavily, but will also feature extreme sports, comedy, indie music and gameshows.
The venture will relocate to Edinburgh and create up to 30 jobs in production over the coming six months. "The lower operating costs that Edinburgh will offer the new channel will help ensure a successful and profitable future," explained Henry.
