The Paramount Comedy Channel has said that it intends 24 hour transmission of its service from Summer 2001 at the latest. The channel currently broadcasts 7pm - 4am.
Chris Hancock, Paramount Comedy's director of marketing, told Sky's Backchat programme, "The station's existing programming lineup is a bit risque for daytime viewing. I have a team of people acquiring programming suitable for transmission earlier in the day, and our intention is to be up and running by the first quarter of 2001."
