Tiscali TV and Sony Pictures Television International have launched a subscription video-on-demand (VOD) service featuring classic US television shows.
It has been named Screen Gems and is available now, carrying Sony library series, to Tiscali TV users.
Among the offerings in its first month are Bewitched, Starsky & Hutch and Charlie's Angels. Due soon are Diff'rent Strokes, The Monkees and I Dream of Jeannie.
The service will roll out to internet, mobile and set-top box platforms in the UK and discussions are underway with providers in continental Europe.
Danny Goldman, Sony Pictures senior vice president of sales, said it was "a unique offering of timeless shows that we all knew and loved in our childhood and teenage years".
He commented: "We believe that the service will appeal to viewers who enjoyed the shows growing up and also to a younger generation that is familiar with the names and brands of the shows."
