The Racing Channel will close its analogue feed on satellite and cable from August 28, to concentrate on its digital version, it was confirmed today.
The channel will also extend its broadcasting hours until 11:45pm, offering extra features and improved coverage, understood to include interactive betting and viewer feedback.
The Racing Channel's Director of Programming, George Irvine, said, "Around 75 per cent of The Racing Channel's subscribers have already switched to the Digital Satellite platform, and are now enjoying the many advantages available to them. However, we are keen to make the transition of the 8,000 remaining Analogue Satellite viewers as smooth as possible."
