Sky is to expand its network of retail kiosks in shopping centres across the country.
A new deal between the broadcaster and one of the UK's largest shopping centre owners, Land Securities, will enable Sky to expand its current portfolio of 170 kiosks to 250 during 2008.
"Retail stores are an increasingly important part of our marketing capability, delivering an engaging experience for consumers who value face-to-face contact," said Sky's director of customer acquisition, William Mellis. "Their success is demonstrated not only by the number but by the quality of customers joining Sky in this way. With services such as Sky+ and Sky HD changing the way people watch TV, the opportunity to demonstrate our products to millions of consumers each week is a huge asset."
