The ITC has today granted the DTT multiplex service licences to the BBC and Crown Castle.
BBC will hold the licence for multiplex B, and Crown Castle for C & D. All three will run for a period of 12 years beginning when the services do.
"The ITC looks forward to the commencement of the new licensed services to be announced by the BBC and Crown Castle," said a spokesman for the regulator.
Today's grant follows the BBC/CC's successful application last month.
The pair hope to have the new service up and running before Christmas.
