New boxes and new offers coming to Sky

The rumours abound and sources tell Digital Spy that there will some new offerings coming soon to Sky.
A new mini digibox is going to become available that will be designed as a second box targeted for use in the bedroom etc. where some of the connectivity on the current box is not entirely necessary.
The new box will have all the current functionality (all channels, full EPG, full interactivity, modem, etc.) but less connectivity meaning only one SCART socket, one RF output, an external power supply and a reduced number of buttons on the outside.
This box has been designed to allow a less expensive box to be provided as a second STB, when the intended environment doesn't require the additional connections of a standard digibox.
As Digital Spy reported over the summer there is currently a Sky+ special offer open to current Sky subscribers (subscribing for a year to the Sky World package, a cheaper box, free movement of the second box and a reduced combined subscription).
In addition we understand another offer is to be launched very soon, which will offer a "free" install for purchasers of Sky+ or a 2nd digibox.
