Chart Show TV, the new music channel dedicated to broadcast of the different genre charts, has begun with a strong start in the ratings.
The station launched last Wednesday at the backend of the music section of the Sky Digital EPG.
The following day, 26,000 kids tuned in for the singles chart, with a 0.3 rating in the demo during the afternoon. Friday saw 67,000 Men in the 16-34 demo tune in to the channel, and on Saturday evening, a rating of 0.38 -- 35,000 kids -- watched between 7pm and 7.30pm.
A second channel, Chart Shop TV, will launch on October 14. A spokeswoman told Digital Spy: "It will have the same style as the Chart Show Channel but make more use of RSJ, our animated presenter/sales man which you can currently see on the new release show."
