Homechoice gives users ultimatum

Homechoice have started sending out letters to their existing custormers explaining they must change from their current package to a new service including all the basic VOD service and a 1Mb Internet service for £35 per month (including VAT - this is a change from the previous service which was £20 per month, which included a 115k always on internet service, plus a charge for each of the various Video on Demand services the first one at £6 per month).
Home Choice will still be offering PPV movies on top of this £35 per month service which uses a new STB which engineers will install for customers. The Internet service uses a USB based dongle.
Speaking to their customer support it appears they have a certain number of these new STBs that they have available for install and they expect this to be their new user base in the new year when they give the impression the old service will be ceasing.
