Smith was speaking as he prepares to tour the UK with 'Doctor Who Live', which opens at Wembley Arena on October 8 before heading around the country.
Revealing those stars he'd like to become involved in Doctor Who in a cameo role, Smith said: "Florence from Florence And The Machine - I’d quite like her to do one."
Another choice involves ex-footballer and sometime-actor Eric Cantona. Smith added: "I’d quite like Eric Cantona to come and do one. That would be cool."
27-year-old Smith also named several other choices, including Helena Bonham Carter and Rowan Atkinson, who was previously involved in a Doctor Who BBC special for Comic Relief.
"There are many, many, many people," he said.
