Picture quality compares well with other brands. No HDMI socket

The TV is HD ready as I use it for BBC HD and also XBOX 360, what you need is some component cables to connect the TV and the NTL box or a DVI to HDMI cable. In either case you also need some basic red/white audio cables. But it is high def.

I bought this TV for the world cup, on the prestext it was HDTV, and since have been watching programmes using NTL cable. I bought what I was told from Currys a DVI out cable to DVI in cable and thought that would get HTDTV to work. When I watched BBC or ITV HD programmes it kept saying I was still watching in normal mode. I have tried to look on the LG website for assistance as to what cables I need; someone said I need audio cables etc into the side bit of the TV. The handbook is rubbish. The picture is good, and overall I am pleased with the TV. I wish CURRYS would have said it was HDMI and not HD ready. I think I will need a lot more cables.
