I've had my 32LX2R about 3 months, probably one of the best buys I’ve made in a while. The picture quality is great, well from my Media Centre PC (connected via DVI). Both DVD's look good and HD WMV's also look sweet. As for normal SD TV, I'm connected to a Telewest SA4100 STB via SCART, it's not great but it not HD so what do you expect. As a PC monitor it is also an exceptional buy, I've played a few games on this screen and it looks sweet. As others have said, the sound isn't 100% great, but not bad. Also agree with Phil's comment on the XD Picture setting, it can really make the pictures colour strange, and then it will correct itself. Overall a great TV, I'd been looking at this TV for about 6 months before purchasing. As this at the time was one of the only TV to offer 1 x HDMI, 1 x DVI and 1 x HD Component. In fact it probably still is... most newer HDTV (inc LG) seem to have 2 HDMI, no DVI or 1 x HDMI and VGA... and as VGA does not support HD.... Anyhow I would recommend this set... just get yourself a 5.1 surround sound set up and you’re sorted!!

Have to agree with other reviews - excellent picture, but sound a little dull, will be buying an AV amp sometime soon. Picture quality is fantastic when fed from an upscaling dvd player (I recommend the Samsung DVD-HD860, brilliant for the price!).

This is a good looking set which along with the picture quality in the shop seemed to stand head and shoulders above the rest. Very very easy to set up. The picture is brilliant even without having HD yet, but we do get at times a little bit blurring in the distance when the camera is moving fast across crowds with all kinds of different colours in it, However the tv is only in a room that is 12x12 and we are only sat about 9 foot away and sometimes we have eyes like dustbin lids, but thats our problem. The XD picture engine sometimes gives you a bit of a shock when it flashes into action when you change from channel to channel but it produces a brilliant picture, you don't have to have the XD engine switched as you can select user settings which come in abundance on this set. The sound quality is a bit lack lustre even in our small room with 100% bass on but you soon get used to it. Again the sound has an abundance of user settings to play with so that you can change settings to suit the programme you are watching (ie)sport setting, movie setting, music setting or user setting. Overall it is a really good tv, and because of the dark casing when it is dark in the room it is nice as you can't really see the outline of the tv which makes you concentrate on the picture. I have been looking at this tv in the shops since last december 05 and have put off buying until now to see if i could find a good comparison all round and i couldn't so i went for it the end of May 06 and not dissapointed especially as i got a web price in Currys who price matched Dixons online with extra discount code. Go into your search engine and type in online discount vouchers and then take your pick.

Great picture everything I could have hoped for. Driven off Freeview box though SCART lead on AV1. Re-scales SD material well. Planet Earth looks really good. Excellent picture from Xbox360 using component input at HD quality. Sound however is thin, use with external amp & speakers for best results.
