This LCD has all the connections you are going to need in the comiming years at least. HDMI, DVI (both HDCP), component, computer, rgbx2 etc. The picture is exellent through RGB (sourse NTL cable feed), HDMI via samsung upscaling DVD is just mental...360 HD is stunning. All in all this T.V is a bit out of date but well ahead of it's time (last year). A bargin if you can get it for under a grand (i got it for £980 from richersounds), sound is exellent and a motorized stand to boot! Exellent as a computer monitor as well, although you may need to purchase a app. called "powerstrip" to get true 1:1 viewing...i.e 1360 x 720 res. Some noise is visible on lower quality broadcasts and forget about using it with freeview..No scene memory for picture settings. Movie mode for all t.v broadcast recommended.

Bought this set a few months back and I love it. It is fully HD Ready, supporting all required resolutions. I use Freeview as my main source and, so long as you have a good signal, the picture is excellent. These sets can take a while to set up though, so don't be disheartened when you first switch it on! Google around for other peoples settings to get you started. The range of connections is fantastic, although only one HDMI is available, there is an HDCP compliant DVI input. Beyond that are 2 RGB scarts, 1 normal scart, s-video, component, composite and VGA input for a PC (which I use to run HD movie trailer through and they look superb). The screen comes with a stand that also has a remote controlled motorised swivel which is actually pretty useful. The speakers are detachable so if, like me, you use surround sound you can take them off and just use the screen. The backlight is adjustable, and each input can be set up independently with its own settings. The usual ratio settings are available to deal with all sort of broadcasts; 4:3, 14:9, 16:9, etc, and a very effective panoramic option that I use for 4:3 programmes. At £1400 it is looking pricey and I am sure there are now cheaper sets that are easily as good, but if you see this at a lower price, give it a look, I have no regrets ditching my 32" crt for this beauty.
