Enjoying the WC in HD....the BBC feed really sets the standard! The colours burst out of the screen and my initial fears over the SkyHD 1080i output have been put to rest. Excellent with all kinds of sources (progressive DVD, SkyHD, PC and Xbox360 all tested), it does need to be run in properly(400 hours in and no sign of retention or burn) and calibrated to get the best from it....but it sure is worth every penny!

Thanks Geoff, I have not splashed out on HD player yet. I'll wait for HD-DVD and BLU-RAY war to settle. So far have only managed 625p through component leads. Sorry for my early typo (component was incorrect). S'pose a Samsung or Tosh player with HDMI at less than 150 pounds might be a start.

This screen is excellent, would just like to comment on Mark, W. London on March 15th, 2006 if you use the VGA connector it will only goto 1024x768 - if you use the HDMI connector it does goto 1900 x 1080 I'm using it now on the screen

3 Months in and I am still amazed each time I switch on. Three pixels out from day one - Pioneer say that this is 'acceptible'. Other than that it's nothing short of sublime. Roll on HD broadcasts - until then I will make do with upscaled DVD.

So far really good 3 days on. NOTED it is not truly high definition as the resoluton is "only" 1024x768 (like my notebook computer). HDTV should be 1280x720 or 1900x1080, so I guess there will be a compromise somewhere. However, watch DTTV (Freeview) and recorded DTTV is fantastic. Need composite leads for my pscan DVD player before I get the 24Hz benefit.

I bought this plasma a month ago and found that the build quality is superb, the picture quality is astounding. The plasma is HD Ready but I cannot report yet until Sky deliver a HD service and/or some HD DVD's that I ordered from the USA arrive.

This is a truly great television. We bought a plasma after renting a cottage with a 37" Sony. The Sony picture was acceptable but very average - the Pioneer is fantastic. The contrast is good, the colours are vibrant and the sound is excellent. I have a high end hi-fi system that demands high quality sound input - the Pioneer audio output seems pretty well matched. I love the separate box as our TV is professionally mounted on the wall with the power cable and signal lead buried under the plaster. The only problem: I have spent far too long watching TV since getting the Pioneer!
