Having owned the set for 9 months now there is nothing at all to complain about. The picture is pin sharp and definition is far better than most plasma or lcd sets that are even over twice the price. Using a quality source is essential as feeding from cable or sky just highlights how poor mpeg2 terrestrial pictures really are. I have the tv setup with very little assistance from the onboard electronics and keep the brightness and contrast below the factory settings, this keeps everything nice and smooth. Overall I am exceptionally happy and for only a grand it represented superb value for money.

My parents bought an LG 44sz8r and to be perfectly honest I'm a little disappointed. LG are market leaders when it comes to HD TV but I fail to see, with pixels the size of dinner plates, how the HD picture will be achieved on this set. I guess the proof will be in the pudding when HD pictures finally start to be transmitted.
